Wuxi Tai Lake International Technology Park (including Jiangsu Software Outsourcing Industrial Park)
Wuxi Tai Lake International Technology Park is the core service outsourcing industry area of the Wuxi New District. It prioritizes the software industry, focusing on the development of software and IT outsourcing, service outsourcing like software R&D, integrated circuit design, data disposal, after effect production, call center and finance back-office, including digital games, digital animations, digital lesson plan development, digital video and sound application, mobile data IT training, meeting centre and Internet service centre etc. The Jiangsu Software Outsourcing Industrial Park is the first software outsourcing industrial park of Jiangsu province. It was co-constructed by the Jiangsu Information Industry Department, Wuxi Municipal Government and Wuxi New Zone. The planned area is 45.3 hectares and constructing area is 120,000 m2. It will be delivered for use until May 2008. Approaching 20 software outsourcing enterprises have signed agreements to set in and until the end of 2008, it is anticipated that 2000 software engineers will work for enterprises in the Park. It is envisaged to build a software community with over 30,000 people as objective of the end of 2010.
The Wuxi Tai Lake International Technology Park, the huge software industrial platform encompassing the Wuxi Software Park, Information Industrial Science Park, iPark and Jiangsu Software Outsourcing Industrial Park stands out 3 industrial characteristics: software and information service outsourcing, integrated circuit design and digital content industry. Naturally developed and nurtured by long-term political direction of the government, the Wuxi software industry has developed into a colorful software industrial layout: in the software and information outsourcing export field, there is a cluster of over 40 key enterprises like Huaxia Computer, Huayang Software, Yokoshin Software, MENTEX Technology, Hysoft Software and TIC Software etc. ; in the IC design industry, over 50 key enterprises gather like SEMICO, Hynix-ST semiconductor, Si-power Micro-electrics Co. Ltd, Memsic Semiconductor and Haiwei Semiconductor; in the digital content industry, there is a cluster of over 20 animation enterprises characterized by their original design, like Wuxi Tianlong Cartoon, Wuxi October Digital Animation Co.,Ltd, Wuxi Angel Animation Development Co. Ltd, CG Digital Entertainment and Network Co. Ltd, Hollywood (China) Digital Arts R&D Center , Wuxi Dragoninfo Animation Co. Ltd and Nine-color Deer Animation etc.
Wuxi Taihu New Town Science & Education Industrial Park (including Jiangsu Basic Software Industrial Park)
Wuxi Taihu New Town Science & Education Industrial Park orients to develop scientific researches, education and culture, industrial design, software and animation. It aims at improving and enlarging the design, R&D and creativity industries led and promoted by higher level education and R&D. It is envisaged to be the fountain of the industrial design, the incubation area of the creativity industry and distributing centre of animation production. The Jiangsu Basic Software Industrial Park was co-constructed by the Institute of Software Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu Information Industry Department and Wuxi Municipal Government, with a planned area of 6 square kilometer. It is envisaged that the Park will use 5 to 8 years to establish the 1 million m2 premises for software R&D and outfits to absorb and gather 300 to 500 software enterprises with 30,000 to 50,000 employees and an annual sales of over 10 billion RMB in the software industry. Four bases will be shaped for basic software R&D, software industrial development, high-end service outsourcing and software talent practical training. Two platforms will be set up for technical support and public services, industrialization of R&D outcomes and industry incubation. It is expected to be a national-level basic software industrial park. Now, the Park focuses on the construction of several key buildings and bases, like Wuxi R&D Building of the Institute of Software Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuxi Base of Beijing University Software and Micro-electrics Institute, Henghua Science and Technology Park, iSoftStone and Zhongbang Software Outsourcing Base etc.
Wuxi (National) Industrial Design Park (including the National IPR Park for Industrial Design)
Wuxi (National) Industrial Design Park is established in May 2003, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is the first national theme IT Park of China, which highlights the industrial design. It was recognized by Jiangsu province in May 2007 as the Jiangsu Provincial International Service Outsourcing Showcase Area. At present, the outsourcing services mainly involve industrial design, software development, automatic system control, network operation monitoring and logistics, storage and transportation etc.
Until 2010, the Park will develop 8 professional service outsourcing platforms, of which one is the software R&D design service outsourcing platform. It will absorb 100 service outsourcing enterprises in different industries, facilitate to shape more than 5 key enterprises taking the leading roles in the field of domestic service outsourcing, motivate 3 international noted corporations to transfer their service outsourcing businesses to the Park and meanwhile, import and absorb 2000 professional employees of different fields. The Park will nurture a magnetic atmosphere for the service outsourcing industry and develop a relatively complete service outsourcing industrial chain to make the service outsourcing industry as the backbone industry of the Park.
