2.4.1 Human Resources
The human resources are very abundant in Jiangsu. It has good storage of highly-educated professional talents studying home and abroad, which are favorable for the development of software and information service outsourcing talents.
Jiangsu has good tertiary education sources and a great deal of excellent talents. In 2007, data shown that Jiangsu owns 115 universities, of which 11 were noted ones in the National "211" Project (the Project is the Chinese government's new endeavor aimed at strengthening 100ish institutions of higher education and key disciplinary areas as a national priority for the 21st century), 2 were national model software institutes. Jiangsu had full-time university students of 1.4 million, of whom about 90,000 were post-graduates, over 0.2 million were IT-related students. Every year, there are nearly 0.3 million new graduates and will be more in the future. The abundant student resource provides good human resource storage for the development of the Jiangsu software and information service outsourcing industry.
