1.3.4 Status of the Employees

Quantity of Employees of Enterprises

The size of enterprises is distributed in echelon. The biggest enterprises have over 2000 employees. 3.2% has over 1000 employees. 12.9% have 300 to 1000 employees. 35.5% have 100 to 300 employees. The average number of emplyees is about 176. The distribution in echelon is favourable for mutual supplement of small, medium- and big-sized enterprises and cooperation to undertake bigger projects.

Qualifications of the Employees

Now, of the employees in the Jiangsu software and information service outsourcing industry, 4.3% are senior managers. 7.6% are project managers. 5.3% is sales men. 16.3% are professional staffs. 62.9% are technical staffs. 3.6% are other employees. The staffs have higher educations. 1.3% has Ph.D. 7.1% have Master Degrees. 72.3% have bachelor degrees. 16.5% have diplomas. The qualification proportion of the employees is reasonable. Generally, employees have good educations, which guarantee the delivery of quality outsourcing services.

Overseas Education of the Enterprise Management

Most of managers in the Jiangsu software and information service outsourcing enterprises have experiences of overseas education. Of them, 44.1% study aboard once. 41.9% have overseas enterprise management experiences. 50.5% have working experiences aboard. With overseas backgrounds, enterprises have more project source channels.

Linguistic Abilities of the Employees

The Jiangsu software and information service outsourcing enterprises have stronger language abilities. 45.3% of the employees speak English fluently and 33.9% speak Japanese fluently. Jiangsu province has a rich storage of talents speaking Japanese well and a plenty of versatile talents with both language and software design skills. In addition, there is a plenty of storage of talents with English and other minor language skills. Jiangsu is more opened up to the international society. Its talents have better environment to practice foreign language proficiency, good for culturing outsourcing talents.
